All-Mother's Day
Even Shen 20th
A day spent paying tribute and sacrifice to the All-Mother Goddess Eventii.


Shantigra
Even Shen 38th
This day is spent paying tribute to Wfrath, god of the fields.  Farmers will first spend the morning in their fields then make their way to the market and share openly with other farmers stories and carry out traditional sacrifices to insure a bountiful crop.


Day of Omens
Shel Shen 1st
On this day everyone pays close attention to everything that they see and events that happen to them.  These signs and events are said to foretell whether or not the person will have good fortune for the year.


Day of Sacrifice
Livv Shen 8th
The day is spent in sacrifice to the gods.


Feast of the Gods
Freth Shen 1st - 10th
A week long festival that pays tribute to the gods which ends in a huge feast.


The Avriga
Rig Shen 21st - 30th
A week spent by some worshipers who travel to the Pillars of the Sky in Ardal.


Ovimed
Rig Shen 31st
This day is also called the 'Day of Silence and Thought'.  Worshipers who have traveled to the Pillars or attend the temples stay throughout the day in silence and meditate.


Walk of the Dead
Un Shen 1st
This day worshipers dress in black in remembrance of their ancestors.


Day of Shadows
Vvac Shen 21st
The Day of Shadows is spent in solitude with just family. The shadows are said to come alive and take those bold enough to venture out.


Day of Cleansing
Vvac Shen 22nd
Following the Day of Shadows, the Day of Cleansing is spent by most either taking a bath or cleaning themselves at a lake or stream.  The purpose is to remove all 'shadows' that seek to ruin the person.

Emperor's Festival
First week of the month for the visiting countyA week long festival held the first week of the month in the county the Emperor's Troupe is visiting.
Chapter One - First Wave
takes place in the northern region so most of the information provided will be found there.  As the storyline progresses, other regions will become available.

Northern Ballidrous has two main calendars used by the northern kingdoms.  The Ardalian Empire has a full calendar while the people of the northwest have a seasonal calendar based on the ancient Kingdom of Tres.

The central and southern calendars will be added once the storyline reaches those regions.
Continent: Ballidrous
CALENDARS
The Ardalian calendar is based on the celestial bodies and is the most accurate on Ballidrous.  The year is broken into 12 months, each having 4 weeks.  A week has 10 days, totaling 480 days in a calendar year.  The calendar was created before the empire arose and instituted by the theocracy that ruled at the time.
